What is Similar Dudes
When I was going through my divorce, I joined an online men’s group called Dad Starting Over. It was a great community - there was a Facebook group, coaching, and even an annual meetup. But what it lacked (for me) was a small, consistent group of guys to meet with regularly - the same faces going through the same stuff I was.
It got me thinking two things:
How many other guys might be going through something similar and could benefit from meeting regularly with a small crew (6-8 guys) who actually get it?
How weirdly hard it is to make friends over 40 — especially after a divorce.
I decided to start Similar Dudes to help guys find and join a crew of others in similar situations - divorce, separation, career change, relocation, or just starting over. When life gets hard, it’s easy to feel like you’re on an island by yourself. Your crew will make sure you’re not.
This whole point is creating small, consistent online “crews” (6-8 guys) that meet regularly to talk, connect and support each other - real guys, real conversations, no judgment.
Down the road, I’d love to do local meetups as I think there is even more value - but I don’t want location to stop anyone from finding their crew of guys who get it.
